Newlands is a 24-hour residential care home for 8 adults, designed to support people with learning disabilities and mental health needs.
We aim to support people living in Newlands to lead active lives in which their individuality, independence, dignity and respect are maintained. We fully embrace person-centred planning, ensuring the person we support is at the centre of the delivery of high-quality care and support. We strongly believe that every person we support should receive the right level of care in an environment that meets their needs, wants and wishes and enhances their independence.
“My sister has been at Newlands for about 18 months and is very happy there. I feel that her views are listened to and she is valued as an individual – for example, her room was redecorated for her, blue and white as befits an Ipswich FC fan! My sister has unstable diabetes but most of the staff have had diabetes training and can administer her medication so I feel reassured that she is safe. Newlands has a nice homely feel and I am always made to feel welcome when I visit.”
